Business names with ads in the Custer County Chief were: Myron N Wilson Druggist - The Rexall Store; The Sun Theatre April 7th & 8th, the movie was “The Primal Law”; April 10th & 11th “Black Beauty”; April 12 & 13th “the Millionair­e.” Admission was 10 and 20 cents. Other businesses were: Moore Brothers; Broken Bow Feed Store; Wilson-Cudaback Co.; Broken Bow Service Station; C. S.. Elections in Custer County Returns from 10 towns

Village elections in the ten towns of Custer County outside of Broken Bow were quiet ones, although some real contests were on in several of them. While Sunday baseball and the licensing of pool halls in Broken Bow was the principal issue. Anselmo and Comstock were the only villages where questions came before the voters. Sunday baseball was voted on in Anselmo and resulted in a majority of one vote in favor of the propositio­n, while the question of licensing of pool halls came before the voters of Comstock and was defeated.

Arnold had two tickets in the field, one of them the citizens ticket and the other the progressiv­e. The citizens ticket was successful in the election of both village trustees and the school board.

Merna For village trustees - N. R. Jacquot received 73 votes and R. R. Duncan 52, and were elected for the two year term.

Anselmo the question of Sunday baseball was on the printed ballot, the vote being “for” 21, “against” 20.

The village of Berwyn cast 32 votes this year as against 82 a year ago. the light vote was no doubt due to the fact that there was but one ticket in the field and no issue before the people.

Ansley Village trustee H. L. Kerr 1662 and H. F. Butler 144, were elected. The other candidates were J. D. Knapp, 69, and A. C VanHorne, 58.
