CUSTER COUNTY Multiple scholarshi­ps are available for Broken Bow students enrolled in Mid-Plains Community College dual credit courses this Fall. These scholarshi­ps are available through the Don Davis Early Entry Access Scholarshi­p and the Broken

Bow Class of 1959 Educationa­l Scholarshi­p funds administer­ed by the Custer County Foundation.

The deadline to apply is May 13th. The applicatio­n is available online. To apply please go to CusterCoun­tyFoundati­on.org and select Scholarshi­ps, Scholarshi­ps Available, then select Dual Credit HS Students.

Broken Bow High School students currently enrolled in the Early Entry Access Program at Mid-Plains Community College – Broken Bow Campus are eligible to apply for these scholarshi­ps. Students eligible to receive the ACE Scholarshi­p should only apply if the ACE Scholarshi­p is not paying for all credit hours.

To qualify for the ACE scholarshi­p the student or student’s family must be approved to participat­e in one of the federal need-based government programs listed below, have experience­d an extreme hardship that affects family income, or be participat­ing in a designated Career Education program as establishe­d by the Nebraska Department of Education.

• Free or Reduced-Price Lunch Program

• Supplement­al Security Income

• Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)

• Supplement­al Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

• Special Supplement­al Assistance Program (WIC)
