Eileen Moser started dancing at age 15 in New York. When she retired and moved to Custer County, once people found out she taught dance, the rest is history!

At first, she had a studio in Arnold in the old Baptist church. For the past six years she has taught the Elite Dance Conservatory in Broken Bow to ages 4- to 15-yearolds with a total of 54 students this year. Her retirement will come after teaching dance for 49 years. “The body wears out,” stated Moser. Her career of dance has been, “fulfilling. I will miss laughing with the kids; they keep you young,” Moser went on to say.

“We were so blessed to have Eileen set her dance studio up in Custer County. She’s given these students the opportunity to learn true dance techniques that they would have had to travel to larger cities to gain.” Stated Liz Babcock. Regan Babcock 12-yearold daughter of Abram and Liz Babcock has been dancing with Elite Dance Conservatory for the last six years. “It’s been incredible to watch how much she’s improved and how Eileen was able to foster her creativity and passion through her choreography. We hope that someone will take this opportunity to continue what Eileen has started and set up a dance studio in our community again. We know the interest and love for performing and dance is strong in Custer County!” Liz went on to say.

Katelyn Nixon, 10-year-old daughter of Jon and Melanee Nixon also took dance. “Katelyn enjoyed stepping back into dance this year at EDC. Coach Eileen installed discipline, dedication, and perseverance in her dance practices.

She truly loved her kids, and it showed. Kate gained great confidence when performing in front of an audience because Eileen taught that skill set. We were so blessed to have another great year at EDC.” Emphasized Melanee.

Jeanna Bartak “has loved to dance since she was little, taking dance for seven years.” Stated Kristy. “She worked hard on her flexibility, Eileen brought out the dance

“I will not miss my body hurting,” said Moser, “I will miss the fellowship of the mothers. This has been a wonderful group of parents to work with.” Moser encourages all who want to dance. “Get started, learn your art, be serious and believe in yourself.”
