Serra senior Rodrick Pleasant capped his high school track and field career Saturday with another state record and two more titles at the CIF State Championships in Clovis.

Pleasant posted some eye-popping times in the 100 meters this month as he advanced to the state meet. And then Saturday, he did it again with a time of 10.20 seconds as he won the event at Buchanan High.

That time set a new state wind-legal record. The previous record was 10.30, which Pleasant set at last year's state finals.

In Friday's preliminaries, Pleasant ran a 10.36 in the 100.

Pleasant also won the 200 with a time of 20.67, his second-best time this season.

He posted a 20.53 in the 200 at the CIF-SS finals, which was the top time in the state this season.

He also became the fourth boys athlete to win both the 100 and 200 in consecutive years.

On the girls side, Carson's Reign Redmond was attempting to win the 100 and 200 too, but she pulled up injured in the 100 and didn't finish.

Earlier in the meet Saturday, she ran the anchor leg for Carson's winning 4x100 relay that finished in 45.61, ahead of secondplace Serra (46.15).

Serra's Brazil Neal finished third in the 100 (11.55), her teammate, Mia Flowers, was sixth (11.77) and Carson's Christina Gray (11.83) and TaAhjah Fann (11.85) were seventh and eighth, respectively.

Neal also finished second in the 200 (23.75), and those points help Serra to a third-place finish in the team standings (25 points), behind Long Beach Wilson and Culver City, respectively.

In the boys 100, South Torrance's Anthony Flowers crossed the finish line in fourth place with a time of 10.44 and he was fifth in the 200 (21.32).

In the field events, Redondo's Kai Deines was fourth in the boys discus with a distance of 184 feet, 4 inches, and he posted a third-place finish in the shot put (60-3 1/4).

His teammate, Dylan Curtis, was second (16-2) in the pole vault.

North Torrance's Spencer Ciccarelli was ninth in the pole vault (14-8).
