Oilers beat Blue Jackets for 14th straight win

Warren Foegele and Evander Kane each had a goal and an assist and the host Edmonton Oilers extended their winning streak to 14 games with a 4-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday night.

Connor McDavid and Dylan Holloway also scored for the Oilers (27-15-1), who became the seventh team in NHL history to win 14 in a row. The league record for consecutiv­e wins is 17 by the Pittsburgh Penguin in 1992-93.

Edmonton goalie Stuart Skinner made 27 saves and won his 11th straight game, passing Grant Fuhr for the longest single-season winning streak in Oilers history.

The Oilers are 22-3-0 in their past 25 games.

Dmitri Voronkov scored for the Blue Jackets (14-239).

LIGHTNING 6, FLYERS 3 >> Nikita Kucherov had three goals and an assist and visiting Tampa Bay beat Philadelph­ia. Kucherov moved into the NHL lead with 80 points.

Jaime Drysdale and Cam York scored for the Flyers. Samuel Ersson made 15 saves for Philadelph­ia. He likely will serve as the Flyers' No. 1 goaltender for the foreseeabl­e future after Carter Hart took an indefinite leave of absence for personal reasons.

STARS 5, RED WINGS 4 >> Roope Hintz scored twice as the visiting Dallas downed

Detroit. The Red Wings lost in regulation for only the second time in 10 games (7-2-1). Jamie Benn, Mason Marchment and Esa Lindell also scored for the Stars.

David Perron, Alex DeBrincat, Dylan Larkin and J.T. Compher had goals for Detroit.

SENATORS 4, CANADIENS 1 >> Shane Pinto scored his first goal of the season as visiting Ottawa beat host Montreal for the second time in six days. Pinto was playing in just his second game since serving a 41-game suspension for activities related to sports wagering. Johnathan Kovacevic scored for the Canadiens.

GOLDEN KNIGHTS 3, ISLANDERS 2 >> Adin Hill made 40 saves in his return from an injury, and visiting Vegas defeated New York. Ivan Barbashev and Nicolas Roy each had a goal and an assist for the Golden Knights. Brock Nelson and Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored for the Islanders.

WILD 5, CAPITALS 3 >> Marcus Johansson scored twice, Joel Eriksson Ek and Marcus Foligno each had a goal and an assist and host Minnesota beat Washington.

Anthony Mantha scored twice and T.J. Oshie once for the Capitals.

BLUES 4, FLAMES 3 >> Visiting St. Louis got third-period goals from Jordan Kyrou and Brandon Saad. It was Saad's second of the game, and it came at 19:12. Yegor Sharangovi­ch had a goal and an assist for Calgary.
