It’s the fair way to go

-

Iwant to express my support for the national popular vote law which would guarantee the presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in the entire United States. It is wrong to have 2.8 million more citizens be for the losing candidate as than the winner as happened with President Donald Trump.

Also, it would be truly a courteous act of reaching across the aisle if the Republicans like U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner waited to appoint a Supreme Court justice until after the 2020 election.

Finally, of the utmost importance is finding a way to stop the brutal and criminal locking up of people from around the world by the U.S. without fair trials and mostly without even charges in Guantanamo, including Abd al Sattar, a United Arab Emirates hostage cleared for release. People in U.S. who need to be released due to injustice and biased court cases are the following: Leonard Peltier, Mumia Abu-jamal, Aafia Siddiqui, and Julian Assange.

Millions of people in the U.S. say the Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. flag, and the U.S. needs to work on the above cases in order to be truly working toward liberty and justice for all.

that we use. We throw away enough plastic every year to circle the world four times.

It is estimated that by the year 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. This is a huge problem for sea life; turtles and other animals mistake the shiny plastic for food and they eat it. It makes them feel full when they are not, so they starve to death. More than 1 million marine animals are killed each year due to plastic debris in the ocean. Currently, it is estimated that there are 100 million tons of plastic in oceans around the world.

Plastics get thrown away in the dump and when it rains, the plastic gives chemicals to the water and it makes a substance that is called Leachate, and it is highly toxic. The substance can seep into the ground and then into rivers and streams and can kill animals like fish and other water animals.

So one thing that you can do to help is stop using plastic straws. More than 500 million plastic straws get thrown away daily in the U.S. and U.K. Another example of something that you can do is use reusable bags. Up to 1 trillion plastic bags are discarded every year around the world. If you chip in, the world will become a cleaner place for you and for other animals.
