Thanks to all its volunteers

-

It has been several months since we began living this “new normal,” and every day we are amazed by our Boulder community. Our neighbors and supporters have stepped up in ways we never imagined.

Now more than ever, we understand the importance of our neighbors. As we all practice social distancing to protect the most vulnerable in our communities, Meals on Wheels of Boulder has continued with our most important work — providing nutritious meals and daily well-being checks to Boulder residents.

But we do not do this work on our own. We have always relied on a strong network of volunteers, donors, and supporters to make our mission a reality. Our Boulder community continues to provide time, talent, and resources, ensuring that we have not missed a single meal delivery during this pandemic.

Our clients rely on our meals and the daily visits from volunteers to help them remain at home, maintain health longer, and improve the quality of their lives. We know how important it is that these meals continue to arrive at their homes, and our steadfast and incredible volunteers have continued delivering these meals with warm smiles (behind their masks)!

For those facing social isolation and loneliness — made even worse by this pandemic — these visits are so important. The delivered meals give physical nourishment, but the interactions with the drivers provide human connection and warmth. Together, they provide comfort.

We are proud to serve the Boulder community, but it is really all of you who make this possible. We are so grateful!
