Bocopreps.com 2020 boys tennis all-region team

Caden Bell, Fr./dillon Tooman, Sr., Fairview: The No. 3 doubles team was named Class 5A all-state second team after reaching the state semifinals.

Henry Burke, Jr./andrew Yonan, Sr., Fairview: The pair — also named 5A allstate second team — was dominant at No. 4 doubles before falling to Cherry Creek in the state semifinals.

Lichen Liao, Fr./ivan Calderon, Sr., Niwot: As part of the ‘Niwot Express’ that ran to a Class 4A title, the No. 1 doubles team won two state matchesand reached the semifinals.

Henry Matheson, Jr., Longmont: The Trojans standout took another step forward in his junior season, cruising all the way to the Class 4A state semifinals.

Xavier Moy, Sr./alan Wilcox, Jr., Niwot:

The No. 2 doubles tandem reached the state finals before falling to Cheyenne Mountain.

Danny O’brien, Sr., Longmont: O’brien won a regional title for a second straight season, then won his first-round match in the 4A No. 2 singles state bracket.

Brody Pinto, Sr., Fairview: Pinto won a three-set match to make the 5A No. 2 singles quarterfin­als before falling in a three-set thriller the next round.

Jack Reuter, Sr., Monarch: The senior was 7-1 in dual matches during the regular season, per his coach, then beat Arapahoe’s Tyler Rock in the first round at state.

Luke Silverman, Sr., Fairview: The Knights’ top player won at least a match in the 5A No. 1 singles state bracket for a third straight year. This fall, he bowed out in the semifinals.

Luke Weber, So., Niwot: The No. 3 player for the Cougars rolled in his first season in singles, capping it off with a Class 4A title. He was named all-state first team.

Neil Wilcox, Sr., Niwot: The Cougars’ ace won the Class 4A singles title for a second straight season. He was named the Bocopreps.com and CHSAA player of the year.
