The Colorado volleyball team saw its winless streak hit six matches on Sunday, as No. 22 Oregon managed to complete a sweep of the two-match set between the teams in Eugene with a four-game victor y.

The Buf fs had four players post double-digit digs to signify a battle beyond the final 3-1 loss, but the Ducks (8-2) were able to keep the Buffs’ offense at bay with a 23-25, 25-20, 2519, 25-17 win.

Colorado switched to a 6-2 offense for the match, opting to put Brynna Deluzio from libero so she can split time with Jenna Ewert at setter while keeping more hitting options in the front row. Oregon’s defense still managed to keep CU (4-6) to a .098 hitting percentage, however, securing 15 team blocks in the process.

Colorado’s defensive effort in the backrow was led by Leah Clayton’s 19 digs; she also added 10 kills for a double-double, joining Jenna Ewert (17 digs, 19 assists). Katie Lougeay filled in at libero, posting a career-high 16 digs.

With Rachael Fara out of action, Meegan Hart posted 11 kills and hit .455, while Sterling Parker had eight kills and Elissa Alcantara five.

“We went to the 6-2 to try to generate more offense,” CU head coach Jesse Mahoney. “With Rachael out we felt like that have us the best opportunity. We certainly defended better today but still struggled to translate those digs to good swings and points in transition.”

Colorado will look to end the losing streak Friday at home against UCLA. The Bruins are currently ranked 15th in the nation.
