In other years that game total might count as a full freshman year, and in that scenario James’ eight goals would be tied for the fourth-most by a freshman in CU history. The two former Buffs with eight goals as freshmen are Brie Hooks, who played 19 games as a freshman in 2013, and Marty Puketapu, who played 20 games as a freshman in 2017.
