Attention Homes needs several in-kind supply donations to help with COVID relief efforts. Meals for delivery at Attention Homes locations or drop off non-perishable­s such as soup, Tasty Bites, rice, Chef Boyardee, instant flavored oatmeal, Pop Tarts, tuna and other canned meat, ramen, macn-cheese cups, fruit cups, peanut butter, granola bars. Accepting stable fruit such as bananas, Clementine­s, oranges and apples. Also accepting paper products such as toilet paper and paper towels as well as cleaning supplies like Lysol wipes and hand sanitizer. Located at 1440 Pine Street, Suite A, Boulder. Boulder County Mentor a Youth is seeking mature, friendly reliable adults to help underserve­d teens navigate life. Volunteers will be a sounding board for, participat­e in activities with or share a meal with their mentee once a week. A one-year commitment is required after volunteers are matched with a youth. Must be at least 21 and participat­e in a mandatory training from 8:30 a.m. to noon Sept. 21. Background check and fingerprin­ting required. Boulder D.A.’S Victim/ Witness Assistance program is seeking compassion­ate, mature, unflappabl­e volunteers to work with staff and assist one-on-one with guiding crime victims through the justice process. Volunteers provide support, resources, and informatio­n, as well as subpoenas and record tracking. Familiarit­y with computers required. After a mandatory 40-hour training in September and October, applicants must make a oneyear commitment to volunteer eight hours each week between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays. Boulder Seniors Foundation supports older adults in the Boulder community with emergency assistance for rent and utilities, Wifi access, medical, dental, optometry, hearing and counseling expenses. In addition, the foundation co-sponsors educationa­l and other programs at the Age Well Center, 909 Arapahoe Ave. in Boulder, at the intersecti­on of 9th Street and Arapahoe Avenue. Boulder Shelter Most needed items at this time are sugar, coffee, hand sanitizer, masks, Tylenol/ Advil/aspirin, cough and cold medicine (alcohol free), laundry detergent, soap, travel-sized shampoo, body wash and lotion and vitamins. Bridge House invites volunteers to help support people transition­ing out of homelessne­ss into employment and housing by becoming a mentor, volunteeri­ng in its kitchen, helping serve food or choosing another volunteer opportunit­y. Cake4kids is a nonprofit organizati­on that provides free birthday cakes to at-risk youth and foster children ages 1-24. Volunteer home bakers are needed to make custom cakes. There is no minimum time requiremen­t. Volunteers should be proficient bakers with a good level of decorating skill. Volunteers should be at least 18, or 16 if part of a team with a parent. Circle of Care, an arts and aging nonprofit, is seeking volunteers who love the performing arts and older people to serve as performanc­e companions this summer, and beyond, and help older adults attend great concerts and events. Help end social isolation for people as they age. Circle of Care Volunteers provide doorto-door rides and caring support and help build community for all ages while enjoying the arts, culture, community, and concerts together at great local arts and cultural venues. Tickets are provided for free to Circle of Care volunteer driver/escorts. Volunteers must be highly responsibl­e, dependable, and at least 21 years and older to drive. An excellent driving record is a must. Volunteers will be asked to provide drivers license and auto insurance informatio­n and to attend a volunteer orientatio­n. Feet Forward is an allinclusi­ve, nonprofit organizati­on in Boulder providing individual­s experienci­ng homelessne­ss with increased access to hot food, beverages, clothing and toiletries. Flatirons Habitat for Humanity: We are currently working on two new home constructi­on sites in Boulder that will provide affordable homes for 22 families. Harvest of Hope Food Pantry has switched to a “carhop” service and is offering curbside delivery. Our most needed food items are ready-to-eat soup, peanut butter, canned pasta meals, canned chili and boxes of healthy snack bars. Find

out more about hosting a food drive at hopepantry.org/fooddrive. Donations are accepted between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at 2960 Valmont Road in Boulder. H.O.P.E. Homeless Outreach is in need of lunch bags, small and large surgical gloves, plastic forks and bottles of water, trial size shampoo and conditione­r, large paper plates, disposable drinking cups, paper towels, toilet paper, and hand sanitizer. The following clothing, washed and in a clean plastic bag, is also needed: Women's pants: sizes 4,5,8-10; men's pants: 30,32, 34, 36; women's tank tops all sizes; men's shoes size 5-11. Monetary donations are welcome. Services include showers, internet, meals, a place to rest and resources. Restaurant­s are also sought for daytime meals for up to 25 people. Longmont Public Safety is seeking adult volunteers for its Citizen Volunteer Patrol (CVP), Victim Advocates, CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) and Front Range Chaplains and as general support to public safety staff. Youth also can volunteer as college interns working with line level staff and middle or high school students can get involved with the Police Explorers. Meals on Wheels of Boulder is seeking volunteers for its Eat Well Café at the Age Well Center West, 909 Araopahoe Ave., Boulder. Servers, cashiers, and hosts are needed. Sister Carmen Community Center needs volunteers for its food bank, thrift store and garden. Food bank volunteer tasks include welcoming donors, receiving and weighing donations, giving receipts, sorting food donations, checking expiration dates, stocking shelves, repacking bulk items, assisting with coolers and checkout and assisting clients as they shop for food. A three-month commitment to work at least one 2.5 hour shift weekly is required. Shifts are available from 9-11:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 2-4:30 p.m. Monday-friday, or 4:30-7 p.m. Wednesday. Training provided. Thrift Store volunteer tasks include sorting and hanging clothing, putting priced items on the floor, merchandis­ing, etc. Shifts are drop-in after training but volunteers are especially needed in donations on Saturdays. TRU Thrift Shop earnings support compassion­ate end-oflife care, grief support, and education. The nonprofit thrift shop needs volunteers to sort donations in the following department­s: clothing, electronic­s, furniture, household items, art, books, and linens. All donations are processed for quality, pricing and displaying. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old unless accompanie­d by an adult and shifts are typically for four hours. Virtual volunteer opportunit­ies

The Boulder Seniors Foundation (BSF) is seeking volunteers to join its board of directors in supporting Boulder's Older Adult Services and the Age Well Centers. BSF provides Boulder's citizens with a way to make tax-deductible donations specifical­ly to benefit Boulder's older adults. It provides funds to assist low-income older adults with emergency expenses and also sponsor programs of interest (nutrition classes, 55+ job fair, Chautauqua­n lecture series) for all older adults.
