Toni Haynes

Toni Frances Tulloch Haynes died peacefully on July 11, 2022 at 80 years old from covid related complicati­ons. She spent her last few years battling dementia. She was born in Leaksville, NC on November 7,

1941 to the late Charles O. Tulloch, Sr. and Ruth Rickman Tulloch. A memorial service will be held for family and friends at Leaksville Moravian Church, 712 Mcconnell Street.

Eden, NC on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at

11am. Visitation will be one hour prior to the ser vice.

Toni grew up in Eden, NC and graduated from John Motley Morehead High School in 1960.

She went on to attend Watts Hospital School of Nursing in Durham, NC and became a board-certified nurse in 1963. She began her nursing career at Morehead Hospital in Eden, NC in 1963. She married William M. "Mickey" Haynes on December 27, 1964 and they moved to Charlottes­ville, VA. She worked at Martha Jefferson Hospital and was the Charge Nurse in their Cardiac Unit. Toni and Mickey eventually moved to Boulder, CO in 1970 with their dachshund, "Nookie". She earned her BS Degree online through the College of

St. Francis in Joliet, IL, in December of 1984. She worked as a nurse in the Healthcare Unit at NOAA in Boulder until her retirement.

Toni was a dedicated and caring mother and wife. She enjoyed hiking, bike riding, and, most particular­ly, gardening. She was always outgoing and friendly, and loved spending time with her friends and family. Her warmth and light will be missed.

Toni is survived by her son, Michael Haynes (Praphatsor­n (Am)) and granddaugh­ter, Amelia Haynes of Bellevue, WA; sisters Joann Barger of Eden, NC and Jane Wall (Larry) of Jamestown, NC; brother Del Tulloch (Carroll) of Eden, NC. A special thanks to her nieces, Jayne Barger of Eden, NC and Ginger Barger of High Point, NC.

Toni's final resting place will be in Green Mountain Memorial Park, Boulder, CO beside her husband, William M. "Mickey" Haynes and her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Haynes, who predecease­d her.
