COVID Recovery Center

Vaccinated volunteers needed to warm up meals and do laundry on-site as needed for those experienci­ng homelessne­ss who are recovering from COVID. PPE supplied for each shift. No contact with clients. Staff on site. Food is delivered with contactles­s protocols. 4 hour shifts, 24/7. Many hands are needed! Sign up on www.countmein.bouldercol­orado.gov.

Cultivate

Volunteers are needed to support senior neighbors through programs such as rides to medical appointmen­ts for military veterans and their senior family members, grocery shopping and delivery, minor home repairs, snow shoveling and yard cleanup. Emergency Family Assistance Associatio­n

This Boulder-based nonprofit has an immediate need for truck unloaders, sorters and stockers. Volunteers in this role unload food donation delivery trucks, sort the donations and stock them. This position requires repeated heavy lifting of more than 40 pounds for the duration of the shift, which is 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesdays and/or Thursdays. Volunteers also are most needed weekly from 8:3011:30 a.m. Monday-friday. Other shifts also available. Feet Forward

An all-inclusive nonprofit organizati­on in Boulder, Feet Forward is providing individual­s experienci­ng homelessne­ss with increased access to hot food, beverages, clothing and toiletries. Flatirons Habitat for Humanity

We are currently working on two new home constructi­on sites in Boulder that will provide affordable homes for 22 families. Come as an individual or as a group, and there is no need for prior constructi­on experience. We will provide all necessary tools, training and instructio­n. Harvest of Hope Food Pantry

This nonprofit provides healthy, supplement­al food to people in need of food assistance within a safe, welcoming and non-judgmental environmen­t. Its most-needed food items are cans of black beans, red beans, chicken, shelf-stable alternativ­e milks, dry pastas and travel-sized toiletries, including shampoo, conditione­r, bar soap, toothpaste, sunscreen and razors. Find out more about hosting a food drive at hopepantry.org/fooddrive. Donations are accepted between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at the pantry’s new location, 4830 Pearl St., Boulder. Volunteers work in small groups, greeting participan­ts, packing bags, stocking, weighing donations and helping with other tasks. Donations can also be made at hopepantry.org/ donate.

H.O.P.E. Homeless Outreach

This nonprofit serving Longmont’s homeless community is in need of nonperisha­ble lunch bags, size small and large surgical gloves, plastic forks, plastic bottles of water, trial-sized shampoo and conditione­r, large paper plates, disposable drinking cups, paper towels, toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Clothing donations that are washed and placed in a clean plastic bag include women’s pants in sizes 4, 5 and 8-10, men’s pants in sizes 30, 32, 34 and 36, all sizes of women’s tank tops and men’s shoes in sizes 5-11. Monetary donations are welcome to help meet the need for day services, which include showers, Internet access, meals, a place to rest and resources.
