Boulder

• 30th Street and Colorado Avenue underpass project: Left turns will be restricted westbound, eastbound and southbound for underpass construction. Sidewalk detours where noted (southeast quadrant sidewalks closed); use temporary crossings at 30th/euclid Avenue and Colorado west of the intersection. Cyclists merge with traffic. Northbound bus stop on 30th (BOUND) is closed; board at next stop. Anticipated to end June 30.

• Hill Hotel: Westbound Pleasant is open for local traffic from Broadway to the alley. The eastbound lane is closed for demolition of old buildings and waterline and new sewer work. Activity time is 7a.m. to 5p.m. weekdays. Anticipated to end Jan. 31, 2024.

• Limelight Hotel: Construction on this new hotel and conference center will result in a one-way road on 13th Street from University to Grandview and Grandview from 13th to Broadway with no parking. Activity time is 7 a.m. to 5p.m. Anticipated to end Jan. 1, 2024.

• Symmetry Builders: There will be a road closure on Hawthorn from Broadway to Ninth St. from Tuesday through Monday for utilities. Work times will be from 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

Longmont

• Firestone-longmont mobility hub: The Colorado Department of Transportation is constructing the Fire stone long mont Mobility Hub at the Interstate 25and Colo. 119interchange. Daytime work hours are expected between the hours of 7a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, with periodic overnight work. Motorists can expect periodic single-lane closures on Colo. 119and I-25and on-and off-ramp closures, as well as 11-foot lane restrictions on the southbound I-25on-ramp and the northbound off-ramp at Exit 240. Tuesday through Thursday from 7p.m. to 5 a.m. construction crews will be realigning the southbound and northbound off-ramps. The Colorado Department of Transportation will have temporary closures that impact the I-25southbound and northbound off-ramps at Exit 240, at Colo. 119and southbound I-25main line. The project is expected to be completed by August 2024.

• Longs Peak Avenue: Work on the Price Park Tank Replacement Project is underway. This 18-month-long project is intended to improve water quality and service within the city. Eastbound and westbound lanes on Longs Peak Avenue now run next to each other along the south side of the road between Sunset Street and the entrance to the Sunset Golf Course. Access to Price Park is currently closed and parking in the Sunset Golf Course and Pool parking lot will be limited until next spring. Recreational facilities — including Sunset Park, Sunset Pool and Sunset Golf Course — are expected to remain open during construction. There is still two-way traffic, but the existing westbound lane is expected to remain closed and the new traffic pattern to remain in place until the project is completed in spring 2024.

Boulder County

• 71st Street reconstruction project: Boulder County Public Works has begun reconstructing 71st Street between Lookout Road and Colo. 52. Expect full roadway closures between Winchester Circle and Colo. 52while a culvert system is installed under north 71st. There will be intersection closures at Colo. 52and north 71st Street. The project is expected to be completed by June.

• U.S. 287 and Colo. 52: The Colorado Department of Transportation will begin safety and traffic flow improvements at the intersection of U.S. 287and Colo. 52 in Boulder County. Motorists can expect single left-lane closures during the day on both U.S. 287and Colo. 52at the intersection. Right-turn lanes in all directions will be fully closed until further notice. Full access to roadways, area businesses and driveways will be maintained. The project is expected to be completed in October.

• Colo. 170 culvert replacement project: Culvert replacement work is expected to begin at Colo. 170and Marshall Road on Monday. Work consists of replacing a culvert with wing walls underneath the roadway and excavating and patching asphalt along the highway. Work will generally take place Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7p.m. at the intersection, with construction crews utilizing single lane closures and shoulder closures along Colo. 170and Marshall Road. 24-hour single lane closures will be in effect utilizing traffic signals. Alternative routes along U.S. 36are advised. The project is expected to be completed in November.

• Longmont Dam Road bridge rehabilitation: This project has been suspended until the fall of 2023due to high water.

• Hygiene Road paving project: The Road Maintenance Division will repave all of Hygiene Road between U.S. 36 and 75th Street. Work is expected to last through July, weather permitting. The western half of the road will be fully removed and rebuilt from the the ground up, while the eastern half will receive a mill and overlay. Due to the full-depth reclamation on the west end, all travelers can expect significant delays during working hours, which are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Until paving begins, the road will be in less than ideal conditions (gravel on the west and milled asphalt on the east). Cyclists may want to avoid this road until paving has been completed. Speeds will be reduced during the project.

• U.S. 36 surface and safety improvements: A surface and safety improvement project on U.S. 36 between Boulder and Lyons will begin this month. Work will involve widening and resurfacing several sections of roadway. Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and will require the use of through lane, turning lane and shoulder closures, which will result in travel delays. There is also night work planned at various times throughout the project. This work will take place between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. and run through August, weather permitting.

Frederick

• Concrete and alleyway maintenance program project: The Town of Frederick will pave two downtown alleyway segments between Tipple Parkway and Second Street from Locust Street to Walnut and Walnut Street to Maple Street. Construction is expected to extend through May. Residents of these blocks are reminded to move trash and recycle bins to the street in front of the house on trash pick-up days.

Mead

• Weld County Road 13: Expect a one-lane closure on WCR 13, south of WCR 32. Single lane traffic will last approximately four to six weeks, followed by a full closure for two weeks. The road work is related to the Red Barn development. Traffic control and message boards will be placed around the area. Residents will continue to have access to their property along WCR 13 during the one-lane closure.

• Concrete repair and replacement: The Town of Mead will conduct concrete repair and replacement program in the Downtown area. Work includes saw-cutting of repair areas, followed by removal and replacement. Concrete and replacement will take place during the month of June and should be completed by July 7. All street maintenance is dependent on weather, equipment and material availability. Work areas will include downtown, the North Creek subdivision and the Hunters Ridge entrance. During times of construction and road closures, alternate routes are advised. Additional road work is scheduled following concrete repairs, which include asphalt patching and reconstruction, crack seal and slurry seal.

Weld County

• Weld County Road 33 is closed to all traffic at U.S. 85.

• Weld County Road 44 is restricted to right-in, right-out at U.S. 85.

Erie

• County Line Road closure: County Line Road, between Colo. 7 and Monroe Street, permanently closed to all northbound and southbound traffic as part of ongoing infrastructure developments. The closure is necessary to complete utility work associated with the Lafayette Water Reclamation Facility Expansion project and as part of the decommissioning plan within the Parkdale development project. During this transition, residents should use the detour via 119th Street and Arapahoe Road. However, this is a temporary detour. The completion of Coal Creek Boulevard and Monroe Street later this summer, will replace County Line Road as the new primary southbound route to Colo. 7.

• Sheridan Parkway: There will be a full closure of northbound and southbound Sheridan Parkway between CR 4 and Ridgeview Drive. During the project, residents and motorists can expect restricted access to residential and commercial locations, delays due to construction activities and road work and the presence of traffic control devices and flaggers. Construction equipment will be in the area, and reduced speeds through work zones will be necessary. Single lane closures and full closures of Sheridan Parkway will be in effect throughout the project, and motorists may encounter narrowed lanes and possible width restrictions. Detour signs will be posted to guide motorists around the closures and provide alternative routes. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekend and after-hours work may be permitted upon approval by the Town of Erie. There will be work done on Saturday, June 10. Weather delays may affect the project schedule. The project is expected to be completed date by the end of June.
