Baroque vs. Modern Instruments: 6p.m. Monday, Dairy Arts Center, 2590Walnut St., Boulder. “Resonance Through Time: Baroque vs. Modern Instruments” is a performance workshop featuring five of Boulder Bach Festival’s core instrumentalists as they unravel the mysteries of historical and modern woodwinds, bowed and plucked instruments. With engaging projections and enlightening demonstrations, audiences will explore the intricate mechanisms of the harpsichord — a rare opportunity to hear gut strings and metal strings side by side. $10$20, thedairy.org.

She passed away unexpectedly last December. Faced with the impossibility of altering the course of events, Nicolo Spera dedicates his playing and this concert to honor her life.
