Boulder • 28th Street improvements:
Pearl to Iris. This project is to improve multimodal travel along 28th Street from Pearl to Iris.
RTD Stop #25325serving 205and BOLT routes will be closed until Wednesday. Alternate stops include 28th and Canyon, 28th and Valmont and 28th and Mapleton. Northbound 28th and Valmont Road RTD Stop #17992 serving 205and BOLT routes will be temporarily relocated to just south of the Valmont intersection until Oct. 1.
• 28th and Colorado protected intersection improvements:
One westbound vehicle lane on Colorado Avenue will be closed. Drivers will be directed to the other westbound lane that remains open. The westbound transit stop at 28th and Colorado will be closed; transit riders are directed to the transit stop at 30th and Colorado. The project is expected to last until May 30.
• 19th Street and Fourmile Canyon Creek Underpass:
Crews will begin replacing the bridge over Fourmile Canyon Creek and construct a bike/pedestrian underpass. During construction at all times, seven days a week, 19th Street will be closed to northbound vehicles, bikes and RTD bus service at Sumac Avenue with a detour at Quince Avenue via Broadway. Northbound RTD 204bus stops at Riverside and Upland will be temporarily closed.
Boulder County • Riverside Drive at Cave Creek culvert replacement:
A new culvert will be installed at the Cave Creek crossing on Riverside Drive and CR 103. This work will require a full closure of Riverside Drive at Cave Creek. Work will start at the end of March and the closure is anticipated to begin in early April. The closure is anticipated to last through the summer. All work is weather permitting. Residents of Riverside Drive west of Cave Creek (uphill) will need to use Peak to Peak Highway to access their properties. Residents of Riverside Drive east of Cave Creek (downhill) will need to use South St. Vrain Road/co 7to access their property. The project is expected to last through July.
Longmont • Firestone-longmont mobility hub:
The Colorado Department of Transportation is constructing the Firestonelongmont Mobility Hub at the Interstate 25and Colo. 119 interchange. Daytime work hours are expected from 7 a.m. to 7p.m. Monday through Friday, with periodic overnight work. Motorists can expect periodic single-lane closures on Colo. 119and I-25and onand off-ramp closures, as well as 11-foot lane restrictions on the southbound I-25on-ramp and the northbound off-ramp at Exit 240. From 7p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday, construction crews will be realigning the southbound and northbound off-ramps. The Colorado Department of Transportation will have temporary closures that impact the I-25southbound and northbound off-ramps at Exit 240, at Colo. 119and southbound I-25main line. The project is expected to be completed by August.
• Longs Peak Avenue:
Work on the Price Park Tank Replacement Project is underway. This 18-monthlong project is intended to improve water quality and service within the city. Eastbound and westbound lanes on Longs Peak Avenue now run next to each other along the south side of the road between Sunset Street and the entrance to the Sunset Golf Course. Access to Price Park is closed, and parking in the Sunset Golf Course and Pool parking lot will be limited until next spring. Recreational facilities — including Sunset Park, Sunset Pool and Sunset Golf Course — are expected to remain open during construction. There is still twoway traffic, but the existing westbound lane is expected to remain closed, and the new traffic pattern to remain in place until the project is completed in the spring.
Erie • Colo. 7and 119th Street:
An intersection improvement project at Colo. 7and 119th Street is officially underway, with an expected completion in late 2024. Residents will notice traffic control installations guiding the flow as construction teams dive into their tasks, including utility potholing and preparatory earthwork operations. Concurrently, various existing structures, such as fencing, will be removed to make room for the upgrades.
• Erie Commons irrigation pond repairs:
Two irrigation ponds near the Erie Commons subdivision are undergoing repairs to address erosion. Construction traffic will be present near the intersection of Austin Avenue and Jarvis Drive and the Ortega Court cul-de-sac. Construction activities are scheduled from 7a.m. to 6p.m., Monday through Friday, with the goal of completing the repairs by April 28.
Mead • Colo. 66intersection project:
CDOT is working on an improvement project on Colo. 66in Mead at the intersections of Colo. 66and WCR 7and Colo. 66and WCR 13(Colorado Boulevard). The traffic signal systems will be replaced at both intersections. An asphalt overlay will be applied at the WCR 7intersection. Working hours are from 8a.m. to 5p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 p.m. to 5a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights. Mondaythursday, CDOT will begin replacing the mast arms on the new signal poles at Colo 66 and WCR 7. Flaggers will hold traffic in five-minute intervals in all directions while each mast arm is placed. Motorists should plan for delays. Work is expected to be completed in late March.
• WCR 38bridge deck replacement:
WCR 38, east of I-25and west of WCR 13, will be closed for bridge deck replacement starting Monday and continuing through midapril. Local access will remain for most of WCR 38, but a hard closure will occur at the bridge over the Farmers Extension Canal. Traffic control will be in place, and motorists should use the detour routes.
• WCR 5and Colo. 66 shoulder work:
Road work has resumed on the new acceleration/deceleration lane at the intersection of WCR 5 and Colo. 66. The new lane is part of the Gopher Gulch project. Traffic control will be in place, and motorists should avoid the area if possible.
All road work is weatherdependent, and work should be completed by the end of March.
