Are you getting your money’s worth?

According to the Department of Commerce, the median household income in 2022 was $74,580. The annual salary of a U.S. Congressperson is approximately $174,000. (Benefits — such as healthcare, etc. — add to their total compensation package. They have a pension retirement plan, and the best healthcare in the nation, on our dime!) So, my question to you is a simple one: Do you know specifically which of your U.S. legislators are earning their salary, and who isn’t? Do you know, specifically, to what extent s/ he has collaborated with others across the proverbial aisle to bring legislation forward that protects your pocketbook and your personal freedoms? Do you know who has a clear, compelling and specific vision for your future? And who isn’t simply skilled at political theater, diversion and deceit? Do you know what legislation, specifically, s/he has proposed? How has s/he voted on proposed legislation brought forward for debate/vote? What is her/his congressional attendance record? Does s/he get paid when they don’t come to work? And, if you don’t know the answers to these questions, you can/should find them and here are a few places you can start:
