Burgreyev, age 25, has also charged in the same complaint with battery causing serious bodily injury and use of a knife.

The Yolo County’s District Attorney’s Office reported on Burgreyev as part of its continuing release of information about people who have been rearrested as a result of California’s Emergency $0 Bail Schedule, which calls for the release of inmates to avoid spreading the coronavirus in local jails and prisons.

In June, the Judicial Council rescinded its order mandating the Emergency Bail Schedule, however, the Yolo County Superior continues to use the Emergency Bail Schedule, according to the DA’s Office.

In the case of Burgreyev, the DA’s Office reported that less than a month before he was arrested on Sept. 15, he had been placed on felony probation, after being convicted in Yolo County for assault by means of force causing great bodily injury. Between the time he was placed on probation and his arrest for attempted murder, Burgreyev was arrested on five separate occasions for committing other crimes.

One week after being placed on probation, on Aug. 25, Burgreyev was arrested by the West Sacramento police for felony possession of a concealed dirk or dagger and giving a false name to a peace officer. As a result of Yolo County’s ongoing use of the Statewide Emergency Bail Schedule, Burgreyev was released on $0 bail on Aug. 26.

The following day, according to the DA’s Office, Burgreyev was arrested again, this time for public intoxication and released with a notice to appear in court. He was arrested once again on Aug. 28 for violation of a court order and released the same day with a notice to appear. Then, on Sept. 1, he was again arrested for violation of a court order and again released the same day with a notice to appear.

Following the Sept. 15, arrest for attempted murder, Bugreyev remained in custody with bail set. He was arraigned on Sept. 17, in Department 1 of the Yolo County Superior Court on multiple complaints.

The first complaint alleged attempted murder, use of a knife, inflicting great bodily injury, and battery causing serious bodily injury with use of a knife stemming from Sept. 15, arrest. The second complaint alleged felony stalking, which is alleged to have occurred between Aug.19, and Sept. 13, as well as six counts of violating a court order. The third complaint alleged possession of a concealed dirk or dagger and giving a false name to a peace office from Aug. 25. He was also arraigned on a violation of probation. He was also arraigned on a violation of probation.

Burgreyev entered a not guilty plea in the latest case. His next court date is Oct. 1, in Department 14 for a preliminary hearing. Bail is set at no bail in the attempted murder case.
