Midtown Post Office being relocated

-

The United States Postal Service is considering relocating the retail services currently provided at Woodland Midtown Station Post Office, 108 W. Main St., to a yet-tobe-determined location as close as reasonably possible to the existing location. The Postal Service is considering relocation because the Postal Service has outgrown the facility. The new facility will accommodate Woodland Midtown Station retail, letter carriers as well as the relocation of some of the letter carriers currently working out of the Woodland Main Post Office, 720 Court St. The relocation project will consist of procuring a suitable substitute location, preparing the new location for use as a post office and then transitioning the retail services to the new location. The Postal Service has not identified any suitable replacement locations at this time. There would be no effect on delivery operations or mail service. A public meeting will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at the Woodland Midtown Station Post Office, 108 W. Main St. At the public meeting, the Postal Service will outline the proposal to meet the need for relocation, invite questions and solicit written input on the proposal. Written comments are also being accepted until Oct. 30. Please submit written comments to Dean Cameron, Leasing — Real Estate Specialist, 1300 Evans Avenue, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94188-8200.
