Citizen volunteers wanted to aid local government
The Yolo County Board of Supervisors believes that effective citizen involvement is essential to good governance, and that a respectful and informed exchange of ideas between the county and citizens will result in the best polices and decisions for Yolo County.
To that end, the Board of Supervisors is actively seeking candidates to fill vacancies on the following county advisory bodies.

Board of Supervisors Advisory Committees: Assessment Appeals Board, Child Care Planning Council, Commission on Aging and Adult Services, Community Services Action Board, County Redevelopment Successor Oversight Board, Dunnigan General Plan Citizens’ Advisory Board, Emergency Medical Care Committee, Esparto General Plan Citizens’ Advisory Board, First 5 Yolo Commission on Children & Families, Health Council, In-Home Supportive Services, Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council, Local Mental Health Board, Madison General Plan Citizens’ Advisory Board, Maternal, Child & Adolescent Health Advisory Board, Parks, Recreation & Wildlife Advisory Committee, South Davis General Plan Citizens’ Advisory Board, Transportation Advisory Committee, Valley Clean Energy Community Advisory Committee and the Waste Advisory Committee.
Cemetery Districts: Mary’s Cemetery District.
County Service Areas: North Davis Meadows County Service Area and Willowbank County Service Area.
Fire Protection Districts: Dunnigan Fire Protection District, Knights Landing Fire Protection District, Madison Fire Protection District and Springlake Fire Protection District.
