Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance hosts a webinar series for senior safety

Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance is hosting a free twoday webinar series on how to prevent falls in the senior community on June 28 and 29.

Learn about fall risk factors, ways to mitigate risk and changes to a home that can help reduce falls. The event will include informatio­n about recent research on fall prevention and Yolo County resources, followed by the opportunit­y for attendees to ask questions. This event is in collaborat­ion with Fit Deb Training’s, Deborah Eernisse, who will be demonstrat­ing muscle strengthen­ing and fall prevention exercises live for all participan­ts to follow along and practice at home.

Each webinar series will be held live via Zoom. Both webinars will also be recorded and distribute­d via the Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance website, the Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance YouTube channel and broadcaste­d on cable through Davis Media Access.

The first day of the Fall Prevention Webinar Series will be held on Monday, June 28, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The second day of the Fall Prevention Webinar Series will be held on Tuesday, June 29, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
