Lyon Real Estate is celebrated its 75th anniversary at its annual MarTech 2021 marketing and technology virtual conference on Oct. 7, featuring keynote speakers, tools and resources. Lyon continues to be committed to the Sacramento region, giving an additional $75,000 in grants to local and regional groups to celebrate the 75-year milestone.

Since 2015, the Lyon Cares Foundation has provided over $1.2 million in grants to local non-profits dedicated to improving the lives of others.

The Lyon Cares Foundation aims to inspire and offer time, talent and treasure to local organizations that work to make the world a better place.

The non-profits awarded 75th anniversary grants are:

• 4R Friends/Street Vets

• Auburn Chamber of Commerce

• El Dorado Community Foundation

• The Forgotten Soldier Program

• Mercy Coalition

• Sacramento Food Bank

• Sacramento Kindness Campaign

• Sacramento Parks Foundation

• Sacramento Regional Coalition to End Homelessness

• United Way: Woodland Kids Read

• The Upper Room Dining Hall

• Yolo Farm to Fork

• Zafia House Through the Lyon Cares Foundation and individual office-level programs, every Lyon office provides grants to worthy organizations throughout Sacramento that further Lyon’s vision to inspire and empower care and kindness in the community.

“Since the founding of Lyon Real Estate, giving back to the community we serve has been a top priority and remains so to this day,” Pat Shea, CEO of Lyon Real Estate, said.

Lyon recognized the need to go the extra mile with this year’s grant making push, after a tough period for charitable organizations whose services have been needed more than ever during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Thank you for your contribution of three $5,000 grants to Shriners Hospital for Children,” Alan Anderson, director of development, said. “Your gift will make an immediate and long-lasting impact on the lives of children we treat for acute burns, scars from any cause, spinal cord injuries, chest wall anomalies, bladder and bowel disorders, and a wide range of complex orthopedic conditions. We are profoundly grateful for Lyon’s generous contributions over the years.”

In addition to the grants provided to local nonprofits, Lyon Real Estate is holding its 11th annual Coat Drive, Share the Warmth, collecting winter-wear for the entire month of October. Since the collection’s inception in 2012, Lyon has donated 72,776 coats to local nonprofit organizations with donations from agents, employees and members of the public.
