Yolo County seeking applications for Community Services Action Board
The Community Services Action Board, an advisory body to the Yolo County Board of Supervisors, is seeking applications for seven openings. The Community Services Action Board (CSAB) works to combat poverty by promoting the health, safety, stability and self-sufficiency of low-income persons in Yolo County, according to a press release from the county.
The board currently has vacancies for five representatives of the low-income population, which can either be low-income persons or persons working for an organization that serves the low-income population, one representative of District 3 to be appointed by Supervisor Gary Sandy and one representative of District 4 to be appointed by Supervisor Jim Provenza.
Functions of the CSAB include conducting biannual community needs assessments to identify critical gaps in the county’s social service system, overseeing the provision of services using Community Services Block Grant funds by reviewing project proposals and making recommendations to the board on expenditures and monitoring the performance of the grantfunded programs by examining outcome reports and conducting annual site visits.
The CSAB meets on the second Tuesday of every other month, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. via Zoom. The Board of Supervisor’s District Map is available by clicking https://bit. ly/33HwhXc. For more information on the CASB, email Anisa Vallejo at: Anisa. Vallejo@yolocounty.org.
