Robbery arrest: On Feb. 1, officers responded to a call at a business located on the 400 block of Pioneer Avenue where a male had stolen items and was fighting with Security. The male was later identified as 41-year-old Woodland resident John Anthony Rodriguez Jr. Rodriquez was pepper sprayed by one Security Guard and another tried to help physically apprehend him. Rodriquez continued to physically fight with Security, which resulted in injury to the Security Staff. Rodriguez fled across Pioneer Avenue and was contacted by Woodland Police and he physically resisted officers. Rodriguez was taken into custody and booked into the Yolo County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, and resisting arrest.

Burglary arrest: On Feb. 5 at around 4:14 p.m., on the 900 block of Bourn Drive, a man arrived at his home and found a plastic battery-powered child's Jeep in their carport that did not belong at the location. The resident heard loud music coming from inside of their house, which was unusual. A window was open and it appeared someone had entered the residence.

The man then discovered a female inside the residence, who did not live there. The female, later identified as 29-year-old Woodland resident, Itzel Huerta fled from the house with property and attempted to leave in the battery-powered Jeep. The resident attempted to stop her while police were driving to the location. Officers arrived on the scene and placed Huerta under arrest. She was booked into the Yolo County Jail for burglary.
