Police Report
Robbery: On March 8, at 3 p.m. officers responded to a bank that had been robbed on the 100 block of Main Street. The suspect had stolen money from the bank and fled the location. The case was handed over to Investigations for follow-up.
Robbery: On March 8 at 9:37 p.m., officers were dispatched to the location near the 1200 block of E. Gibson Road for a robbery that had occurred at knifepoint. A male suspect was contacted inside a vehicle near the scene of the robbery and refused to get out of the vehicle. Eventually, the suspect Jose Guerrero, a 34-year-old Woodland resident complied and he was detained.
Through the investigation, it was determined that Guerrero had also robbed two other individuals at knifepoint in the area. K9 Bruno was used to follow the path where Guerrero had left on foot and was eventually detained. K9 Bruno assisted in locating evidence, stolen property, and a knife related to the robbery. Guerrero was arrested and booked into the Yolo County Jail for brandishing, robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and carrying a dirk or dagger. None of the three victims sustained injuries.
Stabbing: On March 12 at 8:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area near the 100block of First Street for a report of a male who had been stabbed. When they arrived, they did not locate anyone. Officers eventually located a male victim with stab wounds near Fire Station 2. The male was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and taken by ambulance to the Hospital. The Investigations Bureau will be conducting a follow-up.
DUI arrest: On March 13 at 2 a.m., an officer on patrol was traveling in the area near Farnham Avenue and Eakle Lane and a vehicle crossed into their lane, nearly causing a headon collision. The officer stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver, Javier Gonzales, an 18-year-old Woodland resident who was arrested for driving under the influence. Gonzales was booked into the Yolo County Jail.
