Marie A. Davis Riedener

KINGSTON — Marie A. Davis Riedener, 62, of Green Street, departed this world on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at Archcare at Ferncliff.

She was born in Kingston, Aug. 5, 1950, a daughter of the late Edward J. and Alberta Donaldson Davis.

A Rosendale resident most of her life, she moved to Kingston two years ago. Marie was a 1968 graduate of Rondout Valley High School and was employed in banking until 1972. She then went to work at New York Telephone and continued in the telephone industry until she retired from Verizon in 1996.

She married Josef Riedener on Oct. 19, 1996.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Sarah; two stepchildren, Larry and Patricia; a sister, Mrs. Ronald (Alice) Thibault; a dear and treasured cousin, Patricia Hall and family; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and several cousins.

Two sisters, Gail Beck and Sarah Halwick, died previously.

Friends may call at George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale, on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Cremation will take place at Wiltwyck Cemetery in Kingston.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at the Old Dutch Church in Kingston at a time to be announced.
