Michael S. Girard
KINGSTON — Michael S. Girard, 36, of Kingston, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, in Westchester County.
He was born in Amsterdam on Feb. 20, 1976, a son of August and Sandra Girard of Stone Ridge. He was a 1994 graduate of Rondout Valley High School and attended Ulster County Community College, majoring in art.
Michael will be remembered most by his friends and family for his lively sense of humor, his comical impressions, his tenderhearted love of animals, and his remarkable artistic talent. He was compassionate, sensitive soul who is gone too soon and will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his dear friend and partner, Joyce Williams of Kingston; his brother, David Girard of Woodstock; and his sister and brother-in-law, Emily and Tony Gregory of Dacula, Ga. He also is survived by his nephew, Landon Gregory; his nieces, StellaBlue Girard, Raven Girard, and Leah Gregory; and many other family and friends who loved him.
Friends may call at the George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc., Route 32, Rosendale, on Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will follow at 5 p.m. Pastor Malcolm Light III will officiate. Cremation will be at Wiltwyck Cemetery in Kingston. Inurnment will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Gloversville at a later date.
