TOWN OF ULSTER
Shoplifting: Elaina M. Binder, 29, of 11 Rock Maple Road, Saugerties, and her mother, Diane M. Binder, 60, of 30 Doe Road, Saugerties, were arrested by Ulster town police Saturday at 10:07 p.m. at Kohl’s department store at 800 Miron Lane and each charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. Police said the two women were seen by loss prevention personnel taking various clothing items valued at $299.78 without paying for them. Both were released with court appearance tickets.
MARLBOROUGH DWI:
Ricardo Castellanos, 42, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested by state police at Gardiner at 9:31 p.m. Sunday on U.S. Route 9W and was charged with drunken driving and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content exceeding .08 percent, both misdemeanors. No further details were provided.
Criminal sexual act: Terence N. Toback, 22, of 14 Church St., Marlboro, was arrested by state police at Highland Monday and charged with criminal sexual act, a felony. Police said the arrest stems from an investigation into allegations that Toback had sexual contact with a minor. He was arraigned and sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
PLATTEKILL
DWI: Matthew W. Trappe, 23, of Wallkill, was arrested by state police at Gardiner at 4:47 p.m. Sunday on Ardonia Road and charged with drunken driving and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content exceeding .08 percent, both misdemeanors. He was released with court appearance tickets.
