Millicent “Millie” G. Schaller, age 67, of Highland, N.Y., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016, in Las Vegas, Nev.

She was born May 4, 1948, in Kingston, N.Y., the daughter of the late Arnold and Dorothy (Hauck) Walker of Saugerties.

She married Robert W. Schaller, who survives at home, on Nov. 9, 1968 in Kingston, N.Y. Millie has been a Highland resident since the late 1960’s; prior to that, she was raised in Saugerties.

She was a coowner of America’s Best Value Inn (formally The Super 8 Motel) in New Paltz, N.Y., for the past 32 years. Prior to that, she ran and operated two other family businesses, while raising her three children. In the past, she co-owned Blue Jeans Steak House with her husband.

Millie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmothe­r, and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Schaller, Sr.; daughters, Melissa Schaller and her partner, Gail R. Perkins of Highland, and Christina Towsley and her husband, Lee, and their two children, Elainah and Dylan of Highland; and her son, Robert W. Schaller, Jr. and his wife, Michaela, of Highland, N.Y.

Friends and family may call on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Copeland Funeral Home, Inc., 162 South Putt Corners Road, New Paltz, N.Y. 12561.
