New Paltz earns MHAL victory over Wallkill

Matt Kanan scored 16 points and Michael Krebs added 13 as New Paltz High topped Wallkill, 65-56, in a boys Mid- Hudson Athletic League basketball game on Tuesday.

Down four at the half, Wallkill fell behind 49-36 going into the final quarter after being outscored by the Huguenots 23-14 in the third.

A 20-15 Wallkill advantage in the scoring column in the fourth was not enough to close the deficit and the Huguenots came away victorious.
