Thomas Joseph Ham, 75, of Connelly
Thomas Joseph Ham, 75, of Mary’s Avenue, Connelly, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, with his family by his side, at Health-Alliance Hospital, Broadway campus.
Tom was born in Kingston, N.Y., on Feb. 27, 1940, a son of the late John and Lyda (Burger) Ham.
Tom was a member of Local 825 Operating Engineers for 54 years, the last 13 of which he was a business representative for Orange and Rockland counties.
Tom is survived by three sons, Thomas Ham, and his wife Heide, of Saugerties, Michael Ham, and his wife Cindy, of Kingston, and Joseph “Buck” Ham, and his wife Charlene, of Kingston; one sister, Debbie Baney, and her husband Larry, of Milton, Pa.; five grandchildren, Michelle, Ryan and his fiancee Katie, Zachary, Taylor, and Trevor Ham; his faithful companion, Bandit; nephews, Brian and his wife Jennifer, Mark and his wife Tifney, Greg and his wife Andrea, Jeff and his wife Jennifer, and Derek and his fiance Sarah; and great-nephews, Colton and Wyatt Baney.
He was predeceased by his wife, Carol (Hoffman) Ham, who died in 2011, and a son, John Ham, who died in 1997. He will be missed by his family of friends at the Port Ewen Diner.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Gilpatric-Van-Vliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Tom’s family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
