Five medalists pace Kingston at Bowdoin

Kingston High had five runners medal at the Bowdoin Park Classic cross country meet in Wappingers Falls. Robert Becker finished the 3.1-mile course in 17 minutes to place 12th in the boys Varsity 1 race.

Kingston High had five runners medal in Saturday’s Bowdoin Park Classic cross country meet.

The top 25 medal in each race.

Robert Becker finished the 3.1-mile course in 17 minutes to place 12th in the boys Varsity 1 race. Jayson Hines was close behind in 15th with a 17:04.

Kingston’s boys was 12th out of 20 teams with 291 points. The girls were fifth in a nine-team Varsity 1 field with 132 points.

Maggie Noe was 21st (22:35) and Grace Regan 24th (22:43) to lead the Tigers. Only 101 seconds separated the Tigers’ six runners. Livi Longendyke was 31st (23:47), followed by Clara Sensini (32nd, 23:48), Autumn Spyhalsky (37th, 24:08) and Cindy Jiang (39th, 24:16).

Thea Kovaleski also medaled for Kingston, finishing 13th (25:41) in the junior varsity race.

Rounding out the boys contingent for the Tigers were Aidan Lancer (56th, 17:53), Bailey Burkland-Bailey (100th, 19:25), Johnny Loughlin (107th, 19:26), Bradley Hack (108th, 19:28) and Gio Melchionne (118th, 20:03).

Also running for Kingston were Kayla Ajiataz (53rd, 32:32) in the junior varsity girls race and Cameron Fairley (60th, 20:28), Eddy Zajac (66th, 20:57), Matt Krom (91st, 22:23) and Cole Elmendorf (1201st, 23:05).

Red Hook also competed in the meet, with the girls taking ninth (216 points) in Varsity 2 and the boys 17th (470) in Varsity 1.

Sheena Dwyer-McNulty (13th, 20:58.3) and Mia Michaelide­s (15th, 21:06) both medaled for the Raiders.

Also racing for Red Hook were Gianna Cuevas (43rd, 23:24), Sierra Siedsma (71st, 26:02), Kira Bruno (74th, 26:26.7) and Molly Higgins (83rd, 30:19.8).

Jacks Hobson led the Raider boys, taking 30th in 17:33.3. He was followed by Nanuk-Reinea McBride (90th, 18:54.9), Adam Beach (114th, 19:52.1), Connor Donovan (120th, 20:10.9), Alex Robertson (121st, 20:17.3) and William Reichman (124th, 20:42.5).
