Undefeated Red Hook rolls to win over Roosevelt

Red Hook High moved to 11-0 overall with a 7-0 blowout of Roosevelt in a non-league girls soccer match. The Raiders scored five goals in 12 minutes. AJ Fuchs-White struck first in the 12th minute.

The Raiders scored five goals in 12 minutes. AJ Fuchs-White struck first in the 12th minute on an Alexa Franceschi assist. Isabelle LaBarbera, on a Lauren Engel assist, put another one in three minutes later. Alexa Franceschi scored on a Claire Dickson assist, before LaBarbera put two in the net in two minutes off assists by Casey Shein and Claire Dyal.

With Red Hook up 5-0 at halftime, Itzel Lailma scored in the 63rd minute and Megan Jankowiak scored her first varsity goal off LaBarbera’s assist in the 74th minute to round out the Raiders’ scoring.

Red Hook dominated 18-2 in shots on goal. Hope Dyer had four saves for the (3-6) Presidents.

“The Defense, led by Chrissy Gilderslee­ve, played well again today and was able to shut down FDR’s attack long before they got near our goal,” Raiders coach Jason Pavlich said. Ellenville 3, Rondout 1

At Ellenville, the Ganders struck first but the Devils prevailed.

Ariana Gray scored Rondout’s only goal in the 16th minute, but Julissa Cruz would score the equalizer in the 30th minute on a JoAnna Craft assist. Craft added two goals, both on Carly Craft assists in the 44th and 65 minute, to give the (7-3) Devils the upper hand.

Ellenville led 20-5 in shots on goal.

Vanelys Malave had four saves for the Devils, while Erin Clune stopped 17 shots for the Ganders. Marlboro 5, Pine Bush 0

At Pine Bush, the Dukes blanked the Lady Bushmen.

Joyce Ryder scored the match’s first goal in the 17th minute; Kali Schindler scored off a Carolyn Ludwingson assist three minutes later; while Hannah Sullivan put one in on a Schindler assist in the 28th minute. Joyce Ryder connected on a Hannah Sullivan pass in the 36th minute and Sullivan scored on a Hannah Schindler assist in the 40th minute.

The Dukes led (0-9-1) Pine Bush 10-3 in shots on goal. Emily Matt had two saves and Alyssa Macur had one for (5-4) Marlboro.

“The girls played a nice first half, possessing the ball and setting up scoring chances and they capitalize­d on quick counter attacks to score the first there goals,” Dukes coach Keith Walker said. O’Neill 2, Highland 1

At Highland Falls, Hannah Salus scored the equalizer in the 29th minute, on an Emma Alitz assist, and put another through the posts in the 57th minute to lift the (7-2, 3-0) Raiders over the Huskies.

Teresa Mazzella scored (2-10, 2-8) Highland’s only goal on a Brook Harris assist in the 22nd minute.
