Suzy Boulay set a career record for Kingston High Wednesday night as the Tigers bounced back to score a big non-league volleyball victory over Wallkill.

Suzy Boulay set a career record for Kingston High Wednesday night as the Tigers bounced back to score a big non-league volleyball victory over Wallkill.

Boulay broke Jessica Sass’ all-time record of 745 digs when she recorded her fourth during the match. Sass’ record had stood for nine years. Boulay finished the night with 17 digs, two aces and two kills in Kingston’s 17-25, 25-22, 25-12, 2522 triumph.

Huge performanc­es by Jaid Harrell (15 kills, one block), Shannon Bonewit (eight kills, seven digs, one ace, one block) and Tori Boulay (30 assists, nine digs, two aces, one kill) powered Kingston’s triumph.

Also with solid contributi­ons for the Tigers were Ashley Hintz (four aces, seven digs), Tori Ost (three kills, five digs), Sydney Jankowski (three kills, five digs), Grace Longendyke (four kills, three blocks) and Ashly Costello (three digs).

Kingston is now 8-5 on the year.

Rachael Colombo had a trifecta with 12 kills, 12 blocks and 12 digs and Brianna Marchionda had 19 assists, five digs and three kills to lead (12-3) Wallkill. Lauren Alonzo (five kills, four digs, two aces) and Colleen Romeo (seven blocks) also had big outings. Pine Plains 3. Rhinebeck 2

At Pine Plains, the Bombers pulled out a fiveset Mid-Hudson Athletic League victory over Rhinebeck, winning 12-25, 25-16, 25-23, 16-25, 25-21.

Ashley Starzyk (two kills, 10 blocks, six digs), Haley Strang (six assists, six digs, one kill, four blocks), Mackenzie Burthon (11 digs) and Isabella Starzyk (four kills, two digs, one assist) led Pine Plains.

Anna Booz (23 assists, eight service points with three aces), Brooke LaRoche (eight kills, one block, 10 points with four aces) and Lauren Platt (nine kills, two blocks) paced Rhinebeck.
