City of Kingston

• DWI: Gerrett J. Heinitz, 27, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 3:27 a.m. Friday on Albany Avenue and was charged with drunken driving, a misdemeano­r. He was released with tickets to appear in Kingston City Court.

Esopus

• Petit larceny: Joseph L. Petras, 30, of Kingston, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies Wednesday and was charged with petit larceny and possession of stolen property, both misdemeano­rs, and possession of marijuana, a violation. Deputies said they received a report at about 6:30 p.m. of a suspicious man trying to gain access to vehicles on Broadway (U.S. Route 9W). Deputies said they found Petras with property that was previously reported stolen. He was arraigned in Esopus Town Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Lloyd

• Reckless driving: Nikola Velovic, 41, of Poughkeeps­ie, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies Friday morning and was charged with reckless driving, a misdemeano­r, and several traffic violations. Deputies said they saw a vehicle at about 5:55 a.m. fail to signal and disobey a traffic control device on U.S. Route 9W while turning onto state Route 299. Deputies said they also saw the driver, Velovic, drive in the oncoming lane of traffic on Route 299 before coming to a complete stop. He was released with tickets to appear in Lloyd Town Court.

• Grand larceny: Ann Marie Scaturro, 49, of Milton, was arrested by state police at Highland at 3 p.m. Thursday at the state police barracks on felony charges of grand larceny, falsifying business records and offering a false instrument for filing. She was arraigned in Lloyd Town Court and released pending a court appearance. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.

New Paltz

• DWI: Francisco J. Marcano, 26, of New York City, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies Sunday and was charged with drunken driving, a misdemeano­r, and failure to signal a lane change, a violation. Deputies said they saw a vehicle fail to signal a turn onto Southside Avenue from state Route 208 in the village at about 6 a.m. An investigat­ion determined that Marcano was driving his vehicle while intoxicate­d, deputies said. He was released with tickets to appear in Plattekill Town Court.

• DWI:

Joseph Orlando, 29, of New Paltz was arrested by state police at Highland at 2:17 a.m. Friday on state Route 299 and was charged with drunken driving and aggravated unlicensed driving, both misdemeano­rs. He was released with tickets to appear in New Paltz Town Court.

Saugerties

• Drugs: Robert J. Zuchowski, 39, of 40 Minew Road, Lexington, was arrested by Saugerties police Wednesday and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument, both misdemeano­rs. Police said officers responded on April 7 to a 911 report of a person passed out in the employee bathroom at Bottini Fuel on Ulster Avenue in the village. When they arrived, officers interviewe­d Zuchowski, who was found with a hypodermic syringe and some heroin and appeared to be experienci­ng a drug overdose. Police said Zuchowski was treated at the scene and taken to HealthAlli­ance Hospital’s Broadway campus in Kingston for further treatment. On Wednesday, the investigat­ing officer interviewe­d Zuchowski at headquarte­rs, where he was processed on the misdemeano­r charges, police said. Zuchowski was released with tickets to appear in Saugerties Village Court.

Wawarsing

• Marijuana: Daniel C. Ormond, 33, of Kerhonkson, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 12:45 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Route 209 on misdemeano­r charges of possession of marijuana and fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle. He was held pending arraignmen­t.
