Phyllis A. Rappolt, 82, of Newark Valley, N.Y.

Phyllis A. Rappolt, 82, affectiona­tely known as G-ma to many, passed away in the company of her loving family on April 22, 2017, at her home in Newark Valley.

Phyllis is survived by her children: Robert Rappolt, Susan Gallagher and Christophe­r (Debra) Rappolt; her cherished grandchild­ren: Sean, Annmarie, Brian, Kevin, and Kaitlyn Gallagher, Samuel, Kassidy and Maxwell Rappolt; eight great-grandchild­ren; her brother, Noel “Butch” Stanley; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predecease­d by her parents, Arnold and Marie Stanley; her husband, Raymond C. Rappolt; her son, Raymond J. Rappolt; and her brothers, Richard and Jay Stanley.

Phyllis was a 1955 graduate of Benedictin­e Hospital School of Nursing in Kingston and a retired employee of IBMLoral in Owego. Her talents were many. In addition to demonstrat­ing her love for her family and friends by her many acts of kindness, Phyllis was an artisan with her needle, well known for her knitting, crocheting and sewing. She was also a Master Gardener, a talented artist and was always game for a new adventure, including a ride in a hot air balloon, a white water rafting excursion and a sea plane ride. Phyllis will be greatly missed.

Her family will receive friends at MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley, on Saturday, April 29, 2017, from 1 to 3 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m., with the Rev. James T. Willard officiatin­g.
