Agnes R. (Raskoskie) Hanley, 93, of Rochester
Agnes R. (Raskoskie) Hanley, formerly of Port Ewen, passed away in Rochester, N.Y., on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at age 93.
Predeceased by her husband, Robert Hanley Sr., she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Barbara Hanley of Rochester; grandchildren, Anthony, Robert (Diane) and Kimberly; great-grandchildren, Richard, Samantha and Julia; greatgreat-grandson, Tyler; brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Sophie Raskoskie of North Carolina; many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hanley was a graduate of St. Ursula, class of 1941, Magna Cum Laude and Valedictorian. She was a life member of Immaculate Conception Church, where she was a past president and past financial secretary for the Rosary Society, a church trustee, a Eucharistic minister and lector, and former parish council member. She also was a volunteer of Greater NY Blood Bank and American Red Cross Blood Bank, and a former member of the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross. She retired from Hercules Inc./Dyno Nobel after 40 years of service.
Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home Inc., 27 Smith Ave., Kingston, N.Y. (www.jvleahyfh.com) Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be said at 4:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers may be made in the form of contributions to Immaculate Conception Church, 467 Delaware Ave., Kingston, N.Y. 12401, in her memory.
