Joseph T. Reynolds, 79, of Sarasota, Fla.

Joseph T. Reynolds, of Sarasota, Fla., passed away at home, on Tuesday, May 16, 2017.

Born in Kingston, Dec. 24, 1937, he was a son of the late Kenneth and Cecelia (Cullen Clearwater) Reynolds.

Joe served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

Prior to retirement and moving to Florida, Joe was an electrician with Conrail.

Joe is survived by a daughter, Kathleen R. Porter and her husband Mark of Kingston, N.Y.; sons, Joseph T. Reynolds, Jr. of Amsterdam, N.Y., T.J. Reynolds of Key West, Fla., Kevin J. Reynolds and his wife Maura of Monroe, N.Y. and Peter J. Reynolds and his wife Mary of Southampton, Pa.; sister, Patricia Shirk and her husband Kenneth of Memphis, Tenn.; grandchildren, Eric, Kyle and Sean Porter, P.J. Matijevich, Drew and Caitlyn Reynolds, Kelsey Luffman and her husband Dan, Delaney Reynolds, Lyndsey, Emily and Amanda Wajert; nieces and nephews; companion Angela Houghtaling of Sarasota, Fla., her children and grandchildren.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia “Patsy” (Gallagher) Reynolds and siblings, Kenneth R., James V. and William Reynolds.

The family will receive relatives and friends Monday, May 22, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Henry J. Bruck Funeral Home, 261 Broadway, Kingston, N.Y. His funeral service will be held 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery with full Military Honors by Joyce Schirick VFW Post 1386.
