Kenneth E. Hyatt, Jr., 77, of Kingston, N.Y., passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017, at Golden Hill Nursing and Rehab Center in Kingston.

He was born June 8, 1939, in Kingston, to the late Kenneth E. Hyatt, Sr. and Mary (Fitzgerald) Hyatt.

Kenneth received his Bachelors’ Degree from the University of Vermont and his Masters Degree from SUNY New Paltz. Kenneth was the Assistant Superinten­dent of Kingston City Schools and later Poughkeeps­ie City Schools. He was a former member of the Kingston Kiwanis Club, former President of the Board of Trustees of Gateway Industries, and was member of the Water Board and Zoning Board in the City of Kingston.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Florence B. Hyatt of Saugerties; his children, Christophe­r E. Hyatt and his wife Meghan of Kingston, N.Y., Sarah E. Dahman of Minnesota; his grandchild­ren, Levi Hyatt and Hannah Dahman; his sisters, Deborah Hyatt of Roswell, Ga., and Betty Ann Mason of Point Manalapan, Fla.; as well as many cousins.

Entrusted to the care of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston. Friends and family may visit on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Old Dutch Church, 272 Wall St., Kingston, N.Y., from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with the memorial service taking place at 12 p.m.
