Ernestine “Tina’’ Pinkosz, 81, of Kingston, N.Y., passed away Monday, May 22, 2017, at home.

She was born March 7, 1936, in Cadosia, N.Y., to the late John and Alice (Fucci) Roseo. She married J. Gordon Pinkosz on July 17, 1958; he passed away on July 10, 2007.

Tina was a Livingston Manor High School graduate, class of 1953, and received her Associates Degree from Alfred State College in 1955. She worked as a Microbiolo­gist & Chief Technician at Kingston City Laboratory for 35 years from 1956 to 1991. She later worked for her family business, Kingston Sewing Center on Wall St.

Tina and her husband Gordon establishe­d Gortico Kennel in the 1960’s, raising Whippets, including AKC National Champion, Flicker. Over the years, Tina wrote numerous articles about Whippets for national publicatio­ns. She traveled to 11 countries and nearly every state in the United States. She enjoyed, family, cooking, live entertainm­ent, and was a N.Y. Jets season ticket holder for 29 seasons.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Pinkosz of Kingston; her nephews, Tom Roseo and John Clausi; her nieces, Nicole Roseo, JoMary Lund, and Debra Duffus; many grandniece­s, grandnephe­ws, and cousins, as well as two dogs who loved her, Scooter and Jet.

Tina was predecease­d by her brother, Joe Roseo of Roscoe, N.Y.

Entrusted to the care of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston, where friends and family may visit on Friday, May 26, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the funeral service starting at 12 p.m. Burial will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery, Kingston.
