Bruck highlights KBA Tournament

Chris Bruck won three championsh­ips and was awarded with two trophies at the annual Kingston Bowling Associatio­n Tournament.

Bruck won the AllEvents Handicap and Singles Scratch with 2259 and 795 pin falls. He and William Donahue teamed to win Doubles Scratch with a 1483. Bruck twice rolled 300 games to share the High Single Net Game Mayor’s Trophy with Jeff Slavin, who also achieved perfection. Bruck’s 799 also netted him the KBA Memorial Trophy for High Net Triple.

Vern Scism was the Singles Handicap champion and also won the Ad Jones Memorial Trophy for High Gross Triple with his 832. Larry Waite’s 322 earned him the President’s Trophy for High Single Gross Game.

Other champions are David Schussler for All Events Scratch (2170) and Elizabeth and Rob Reynolds in Doubles Handicap (1561).

The Team Handicap champion is the C&C Unisex squad of Randy Boughton, Thomas Frazier, Roger Boughton, Ryan Simon and Bruce H. Couillard with their 3579. Team Scratch went to E.T’s Ballbuster­s of Eddie C. Torres, Lawrence Lang, George Johnson, Donald Winters and Dave Handlowich with their 3334.

The winners will be honored at the KBA banquet May 26.

Also being honored are the 2015-16 season leaders in triple (Steve Duke 879) and high average (Eddie Torres 245).

The Senior Tournament winners will also be awarded. They are Lucille Ebert in Singles Class A (age 75 and up) with a 728, Sandra Carlson in Class B (65-74) with 746, Bruce Hanson in Class C (5564) with 728 and Anthony Schmiderer in Class D (5054) with 740.
