Leslie Joan Decker, 61, of Rosendale

Leslie Joan Decker, 61, of Main Street, died Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus.

She was born in Kingston, Jan. 14, 1956, a daughter of the late Chester and Hazel Brought Decker.

She grew up in New Paltz, the ninth child of 12 siblings, and was a lifelong area resident. Leslie attended the nursing program at UCCC in Stone Ridge. She most recently was employed at RiteAid Pharmacy in Stone Ridge. Previously, she worked many years at The DuBois Fort Restaurant in New Paltz and The Mountain Brauhaus in Gardiner. Leslie loved reading, watching the Yankees and spending time with her many nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Paige Decker of Rosendale; her siblings, Sharon Wurtz (Edward, deceased), Joyce Van Keuren (Walter, deceased), Michelle Aprea (Gerard), Deirdre McCluskey (David), Gary Decker (Carol), Glenn Decker (Debbie), Jeff Decker (Kathy), Duane Decker (Pam), a sister-inlaw, Etty Decker. Two brothers, Tom and Chet, and a sister, Carol Stella, died previously.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for friends and family will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 19, at George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale.

A Celebration of her Life will begin at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
