City of Kingston

• Parole violation: Jeffrey Munoz, 30, of Kingston, was arrested Friday on charges of resisting arrest and obstructin­g government­al administra­tion, both misdemeano­rs, and for a parole violation. Kingston city police said investigat­ors with the department’s Special Investigat­ion Unit and state Division of Parole determined Munoz was at an apartment located above a business on Broadway, but when they tried to make contact with him, he tried to evade officers by climbing out of a second story window onto a roof. After a brief struggle, officers were able to take Munoz into custody. He was held pending arraignmen­t.

Town of Ulster

• Drugs: Marco A. Ochoa, 22, of Kingston, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 5:43 a.m. Saturday on U.S. Route 209 on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; possession of marijuana, a violation; and illegal signal, an infraction. Also arrested was Michael L. Soechting, 20, of Kingston, on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and possession of marijuana, a violation. Soechting was held pending arraignmen­t. Ochoa’s status was not immediatel­y available.

Ellenville

• Tampering: Jenah M. Hammel, 18, of Ellenville, was arrested Thursday on charges of tampering with a witness, a felony; and assault and endangerin­g the welfare of a minor, both misdemeano­rs. Ulster County sheriff’s deputies said they went to a residence on Tuthill Avenue in the village at 7:45 p.m. and determined that Hammel had met with the victim and had driven with her to Cox Road in Cragsmoor, where a physical altercatio­n between the two occurred. Deputies said Hammel drove the victim back to her residence and threatened her and her family with harm if she called police. The victim sought medical attention at Ellenville Regional Hospital for injuries she received during the altercatio­n, deputies said. Hammel was arraigned in Ellenville Village Court and sent to Ulster County Jail in lieu of $500 bail.

New Paltz

• DWI: Shaine C. Lampert, 24, of Staatsburg, was arrested by state police at Highland at 2:51 a.m. Saturday on South Chestnut Street on a misdemeano­r charge of drunken driving. He was released with a ticket to appear in New Paltz Town Court.

Red Hook

• DWI: Cody M. Loveland, 24, of Germantown, was arrested by state police at Claverack at 2:57 a.m. Saturday on state Route 9G on a felony charge of drunken driving. He was released to a third party with a ticket to appear in Red Hook Town Court.

Rhinebeck

• DWI: Todd W. Smith, 51, of Rhinecliff, was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck at 11:25 p.m. Friday on Rhinecliff Road on misdemeano­r charges of aggravated drunken driving and drunken driving. He was released with tickets to appear in Rhinebeck Town Court.

Windham

• DWI: Leslie White, 37, of Windham, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 12:19 a.m. Saturday on state Route 23 on a misdemeano­r charge of drunken driving. White was released with a ticket to appear in Windham Town Court.
