Cario
· DWI: Sabine T. Altman, 39, of Hensonville, N.J., was arrested Wednesday at about 12:46 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated, a felony, and acting in a manner injurious to a child, a misdemeanor, police said. Altman was arrested on state Route 23 in Cairo, police said.
Town of Ulster
· DWI: Pablo O. Lopez Barahona, 28, of Red Hook, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated, a misdmeanor, at about 3:38 a.m., according to the town of Ulster Police Department. Barahona was involved in a one-car accident on Sawkill Road, police said. Barahona was issued an appearance ticket and released. He is to appear in court on Sept. 6.
· DWI: Ayers L. Hoyt, 26, of Kingston, was arrested at about 4:22 a.m. Sunday and charged with driving while intoxicated, a felony, according to the town of Ulster Police Department. Hoyt was arrested on Sawkill Road while officers were investigating an unrelated motor vehicle accident, police said. She was also issued tickets for inadequate headlights and for failure to use due care for emergency vehicles, police said. Hoyt was arraigned in town of Ulster Court and released without bail, police said. She is to reappear in court on Sept. 6.
Napanoch:
· Contraband: Lamar Walker, 29, of Brooklyn, was arrested about 6:55 p.m. and charged with possession of dangerous prison contraband, a felony, and criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor, according to state police at Wawarsing. Walker was arrested at the Eastern Correctional Facility.
Poughkeepsie
· Fraud: Addie M. Davis, 46, of Poughkeepsie, has been charged with welfare fraud, a felony, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office. An investigation revealed that Davis fraudulently received approximately $3,623 in social services benefits between May 1, 2014, and July 31, 2016, by concealing the fact that her income from her place of employment had increased, deputies said. Davis was arrested on Aug. 10, police said. Davis was arraigned in City of Poughkeepsie Court and released without bail, police said. She is scheduled to reappear on Sept. 7.
