Paramount Pirates rally for men's B Division win

The Paramount Pirates rallied for five runs to walk off with a 11-10 win over Ulster Financial Group in a wild Kingston Recreation League men's softball B Division contest.

KINGSTON, N.Y. » The Paramount Pirates rallied for five runs to walk off with a 1110 win over Ulster Financial Group in a wild Kingston Recreation League men’s softball B Division contest.

With Ulster Financial leading 3-0 in the 2nd, Paramount put up a six-spot in the bottom frame to take a 6-3 lead and they extended that to 7-3 in the third. But Ulster Financial chipped away for two in the fourth and one in the sixth to pull within in one heading into the seventh.

Ulster Financial then scored four in the top of the seventh to go ahead 10-7, only to surrender five in the bottom frame in the loss.

Ryan Naccarato homered and had four RBI to lead Paramount in the win.

Rocco Pucino tripled, hit two singles and knocked in a run and Derek Snyder hit three singles and had a RBI to pace Ulster Financial in the loss.

Chas Plonski hit for the cycle but it wasn’t enough to lift Ulster Financial as they fell to Aero Star Petroleum in other B Division action.

Ed Torres hit a home run, two doubles and had five RBI and Keith Burgher homered and knocked in two runs to lead Aero Start who put up a 10-spot spot in the third to turn a 7-4 deficit into a 14-7 lead en route to the win.

Kevin Jones homered, hit two singles and had four RBI to round out Aero Star in the loss.

Brinier and Larios scored two in extras to take a 10-8 win over the Avengers in a C Division contest.

Down 1-0 the Avengers put up a four spot in the bottom of the third to go up 4-1, only for the Wolf Pack to score five in the fourth to regain a 6-4 lead. Not to be upstaged the Avengers responded with three in bottom frame to go up 7-6. The Wolf Pack fought back with two in the top of the fifth to go up 8-7, but the Avengers knotted the score in bottom frame, and that’s where it’d stay until the top of the 8th when the Wolf Pack scored two for a 10-8 lead they hold through the end of the game.

Chris Ferraro homered and had two RBI and Corey Hudak hit a home run to lead the Wolf Pack.
