KINGSTON » Fred Dini, 67, of Hillcrest Ave., Kingston, died at Westcheste­r Medical Center on Oct. 9, 2017. He was born Aug. 19, 1950, in East Meadow, Long Island, the son of Ferdinande Dini and Theresa Peluso Dini.

He attended Pharmacy School at the University of Connecticu­t. After getting his degree, he became a pharmacist in New Hyde Park, Long Island, Grand Union in Highland, N.Y., Rite Aid in Kingston, Eastern Correction­al in Napanoch, N.Y., and Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck, N.Y., where he met his wife, Dawn.

Fred was a generous and loving man who had an interest in animals and animal rights. He leaves behind his precious rescue animals, Mason and Tazzy. He was an avid sports lover and a bench press World Champion. His weight lifting trophies fill a room.

Survivors include his wife, Dawn Poskitt Dini; his stepdaught­er, Tara Poskitt; his sister, Elissa Dini; his brother-in-law, John Stanzione; as well as several extended family members.

Entrusted to the care of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston, N.Y., 12401, where family and friends may visit on Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017 at 10 a.m. with burial following in Hurley Cemetery, Hurley, N.Y.
