Five different players scored for Kingston High on Friday as the Tigers celebrated Senior Night with an 8-0 victory over Webutuck in Mid-Hudson Athletic League field hockey.
Brooke Gastin had a hat trick, Meghan Gavis scored twice, Abbie Mayone had a goal and two assists and Kelsey Fairley scored and had one assist for the Tigers. Also for Kingston, Bridgie Loughlin had a goal and Jaylynn Davis added an assist to lead the Tigers.
“We started slow, but pulled it together and started working as a team,” Kingston coach Samantha Ward said.
Analiese Amato and Lizzy Smith combined for the shutout in goal. Webutuck keeper Gabby VanArden made eight saves. John Jay-CR 0, Rondout 0
At Kyserike, undefeated Rondout Valley battled John Jay-Cross River of Section to a scoreless draw, keeping its unbeaten (12-0-2) record intact.
“It was a really wellplayed game. I thought we played an amazing second half. We dominated,” Rondout coach Nanette Simione said, whose team turns its attention to the Mid-Hudson Athletic League tournament next week and the Section 9 tourney after that.
Rondout plays Pine Bush in a MHAL semifinal 4 p.m. Tuesday at SUNY New Paltz. Kingston will host Red Hook at Dietz in the other semi.
Jay (8-2-2) tested the Ganders, who were outshot 9-8. Courtney Smith had five saves in goal for the Ganders. Anne Mae Smith and Julia Healy combined on four stops for Jay.

At Ellenville, Zadiah Coles scored twice, including the game-winner with 1:10 left in overtime off an Ashlyn Rivera assist to lift the (5-4-1 MHAL, 6-4-2) Lady Devils.
Anastasia Keener assisted on Coles’ first-half goal. Sarah Wood tied for Rhinebeck on a Lia Vaccarino pass in the second half.
Goalkeeper Megan Eckert made four saves for Ellenville, while Rhinebeck’s Grace Johnson had 12.
