Mid-Hudson business people 'On the Move'
Bree Allen, of Kingston, N.Y., has been elected president of the New York School Bus Contractors Association board of directors.
Allen has been for the past two years vice president of the board and has been on the board since 2005. She will serve a two-year term as president.
She is regional manager of Ethan Allen Transportation, which provides school transportation services for the Kingston City School District.
Ethan Allen Enterprises was founded by her grandfather, Ethan, over 60 years ago. Her father, Robert, ran the business until his passing in 1991. Bree Allen’s mother, Deborah, took over until her retirement from the school bus industry 10 years ago.
Bree Allen is a graduate of North Carolina State, where she obtained a degree in political science. She received a law degree from Suffolk University in Boston. After several years practicing law in Boston, she returned to the family business in 2004 and took on a leadership role within the company. In 2013, the Trans Group acquired Ethan Allen and Allen stayed on as regional manager in charge of providing school transportation services for the Kingston City School District.

Michele M. Rizzi, of Highland, has joined Ulster Savings Bank as a mortgage specialist serving customers in northern Ulster and Dutchess counties.
She has more than 30 years of residential lending experience, previously working as a mortgage originator with the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union in Lake Katrine and Rhinebeck branches.
She will work from Red Hook and Saugerties branch locations of Ulster Savings Bank.
Rizzi is a Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist and Certified Military Housing Specialist.
••• Rebecca Martin, of Kingston, is the fall 2017 Larry Berk Artist-in-Residence at SUNY Ulster.
A singer and songwriter, educator, and community organizer, she is a native of Maine who moved to New York City and lived there for a decade before migrating north and landing in Kingston with her husband, jazz bassist Larry Grenadier.
The Larry Berk Artist-in-Residence Program brings an established regional artist to campus for a semester to present a series of events to the campus and community-at-large.
