Cathy J. Hinchey, 67, of Saugerties

SAUGERTIES » Cathy J. Hinchey died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, surrounded by her family and friends at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. She was 67 years old.

Born Sept. 5, 1950 in New York City; she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Claire Murphy Hinchey. A graduate of Saugerties High School, Dutchess Community College and Marist College in Poughkeepsie, Cathy previously worked for Ferroxcube and as an accountant for the IRS, the Saugerties Animal Hospital, and H&R Block in Kingston. She was an avid Bingo player but the focus of her life was always family.

Survivors include her son, Kevin Hinchey and his wife Renee; four grandchildren, Logan Hinchey, Mannon Lindhorst, Cade Lindhorst, and Keiran Hinchey; five siblings, Joseph Hinchey and his wife Anita, Robin Richards and her husband Keith, Deidre Zymiarch and her husband James, Grace Hazenbush and her husband William, and Jody Mitchell and her husband Michael; and also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Main Street Chapel, Saugerties, N.Y. Fr. Patrick Buckley, Pastor of St. Christopher /St. Sylvia in Redhook, will officiate. Cremation will follow at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Saturday 2 until 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Buono Funeral Service, Inc.
