Arlene J. Sheeley, 86, of West Hurley

Arlene J Sheeley, 86, of West Hurley, passed peacefully Friday afternoon, Jan. 26, 2018 at her residence.

She was born Sept. 6, 1931 in Kingston, the daughter of the late Marcus and Louise Madden Smith.

Arlene was a graduate of Kingston High School. For many years she was a legal secretary for Robert Ronder, Attorney at law, Kingston. After retiring, she was the secretary at St. John’s R.C. Church, West Hurley.

She was the wife of the late Frank Sheeley, who passed on Sept. 5, 2002.

Arlene is survived by her children Karen Ballantine and her husband Roger, Beth Sheeley and Lynn Sheeley, grandchildren Nicole, Kyle, Troy, Jared and Hunter and great -grandson Timmy, a sister Carol Dunn, several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother Bernard Smith.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. John’s R.C. Church, Holly Hills Drive, West Hurley on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. John’s R.C. Church, 12 Holly Hills Drive, Woodstock, N.Y. 12498
